Funny things kids say

Bella has said some of the funniest things lately and I wanted to write them down before I forgot them:

  • At dinner Bella declared "I hate something, I don't know what that something is yet, but I know I hate it"
  • At T-mobile today the girls were chatting up the fake phones and dancing to all the music since we were the only ones there...all of a sudden Bella busts out "where's my girls at...come on, come on" and started dancing...i thought the sales guys were going to fall on the floor laughing...then gabby had to add her "I'm rocking it out"
  • We met Nana and Papa for dinner the other night and Bella asked where Nana's car was after seeing Papa's. I said that they probably rode together and she said "why? Doesn't Nana know how to drive here."
  • Bella: "I can't wait to be a mommy so I can drive" then I had to explain that mommies were the only one allowed to drive.
  • Something she says constantly is "Oh Man" and/or "My Bad"

Gabby of course always repeats whatever Bella just said or adds "me to"

  • Gabby's new question about EVERYTHING..."did you buy that mommy" tonight she asked this about everything she saw...juice, plates, cups, plant...don't know where she picked that up but at the end she said "you buy a lot mommy"...yes even my 2 year old knows I have a shopping problem.
  • Any time music come on now Gabby shouts out "Mommy I'm rocking it out"

Changes, changes, changes

Well there have been a lot of changes lately, and life has been so busy. We hopefully sold our house and we close June 28th, so we found a new house in my old stomping grounds. So now I'm closer to work and the girls' daycare. We will have space, which we are all excited about. So in the mean time the girls are growing up so much. Gabby and Bella are so similar, but Gabby takes the personality to a whole new level. She is finding her independence and is becoming quite a stinker. She is definitely pushing the boundaries to see what she can get away with and spends a lot of time in time out. Her vocabulary amazes me...the other morning she kicked me in the eye while rolling around in bed and she said "so sorry mommy, it was an accident"...I was so excited she said such a long word. She moved to the big class the end of the week and loves it, as much as her new teachers love having her, but could be b/c she's potty trained where most aren't. She is finally sleeping in her toddler bed since we bought princess sheets. However now Bella wants new sheets.
Bella is spelling and drawing every chance she gets. She writes her name on everything (although it took a lot of convincing this morning that there was no "H" in her name). Her people actually look like people now...she's so funny she's start with a circle and then make eyes and a mouth, and now has added ears and some time hair, but no noses. Below she drew a yellow whale with water coming out of its spout and an ocean

Here is our family (left to right: Gabby, Daddy, Mommy & Bella). Gabby is sideways. Daddy has pants and mommy has hair.
Bella is her typical diva-self...Gabby has not quite gotten to Bella's diva level, but she is starting to pick out her clothes and wear my shoes everywhere. Gabby in her new bed.
She is loving her babies and carries them everywhere.
Giving Cinderella a "haircut"

I'm not sure if I'll get anything updated before we head to Colorado and moving, but I'll try to at least get pictures up.

Indy - cows, race, birthday and family

A few weeks ago we headed to Indy to watch Joel, Miriam and Shawn run in the mini...it was the most packed weekend...we walked around AU
Gabby loved picking up all the pine cones.
Friday we headed to Traders Point Creamery to look at some cows. We paid for the self guided tour...and after walking two miles, the only cows we saw were the ones at the front. They loved looking at the chickensSaturday we started bright, early and freezing for the mini. Our little cheerleaders stayed bundled up...poor Gabby had tears coming down her cheeks and Bella was quivering. We were excited to spend time with Great-grandpa Callison and Mary Anne. She was so cute in her tutuOnce it started and we lost the three of them we headed back to the room where we watched the rest of the 35,000 racers start. We found them at the end. Our cheerleader shirts (inside) After the race we headed back to Anderson to celebrate Gabby's 2nd birthday (a little early)We were excited the Vaughters (some college friends of our) came to celebrate. Mia and Bella hit it off, which Angie and I thought they would if we ever got them together. Mother's Day we played outside after church and had a bbq with both sets of great grandparents.
