Best Buddies

Now that she can play with Zona, they are best friends that I feel down the road will get into more trouble together than apart. They are funny together. Zona follows Bella everywhere and Bella likes to play with Zona's feet when she's on the couch. She's into feeling everything and likes to pinch dad's tattos and play with mom's hair. Cosmo is still not too sure, probably because we've yelled at him so much to be careful around her that he get up and runs from her every time she crawls over to him.

It has been fun having Joel home all day to entertain her... I don't think I need anymore toys...

Something New Every Day

Today the pooh bear mobile had to come down. Bella decided it would be fun to stand in her crib and then lunge and get pooh bear. Well, she succeeded. I was checking on her in the video monitor to see if she was sleeping, and I saw her lunge and fall down with pooh bear in her little hand. The mobile was twisted in the bed frame and it was decided that it was no longer safe.

She also attempted to stand on her own today. She was playing and holding on to her "pond" toy when she let go with one hand and then the other. She fell after a second, but she was pretty proud of herself.

She also has discovered the glass sliding door. She can't really figure out what it is...so she hits it and then tries to eat it. Zona and her are going to be two trouble-making friends.
Chasing Cosmo...poor guy. We put the play-yard up so she'll leave him alone and then Zona gets mad that she can't play with Bella. I guess you can't please them all.

Still figuring out if she likes the grass...and bubbles!!

Bella's New Trick and Peace for Cosmo

Well she learned how to pull herself up all the way. I walked into her room today and there she was standing there smiling at me. She had been trying to get up for awhile now, but while we were gone I guess she learned to get up all the way. After having 48 hours of peace, today I realized how exhausting everyday life has become...especially now that she's on the go she just wears us both out. So we decided to get a playpen, since poor cosmo kept being chased by Bella. Now they have peace, but I don't think Bella's is a big fan of being confined.

Bella pulling herself up.
Finally...some peace and quite.
I don't like it in here...can I get out?

Sedona, Arizona

Well, Sedona was beautiful. Blue skies, red rocks but HOT! I thought going north would be cooler than staying in 115 degrees, but it was about 103 up there. Needless to say we didn't make it to the end of the 4 miles hike because we turned around since I was about out of water. It is still one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. We ate some amazing food, went swimming, hiked, shopped and explored. Slide rock (one of my favorite places as a kid) was packed with swimmers when we drove by. Being up there brought back a lot of good memories of being little, but also going up there with my favorite Alvarez family and Lisa and Bubba's about six years ago. I was amazed at how fast that area has grown since then. It was hardly recognizable. It was a needed vacation for both of us...even though we thought about Bella the entire time.

MORE TEETH

Well she has gotten two more teeth on the bottom but none on the top have come through. She is everywhere. She is still trying to figure out crawling on her knees and will go a few "steps" and then go back to her army crawl. The poor dogs are getting chased around the house. Cosmo will go lay down and a few minutes later Bella has reached him and he has to get up and find a new place to lay. Zona has figured out that the couch is safe so far. She isn't into sitting and playing, now it's crawling and pulling up on everything...especially people. She is saying mama, but most of the time she rather do her snorting or blowing through her lips (thanks daddy) because they are funnier sounds. She had a great time at Nana and Papa T's house, and we handled being away from her for 48 hours pretty good. We only called a few times a day :). She loved the bouncer they bought and is now confident she can "run" while holding on my mommy or daddy's hands instead of taking a few steps slowly like before. Here are a few pictures to start our new blogging excursion.

She loves playing with pots, even though she tries to eat them most of the time.

Crawling
Although she loved the grass when she was born, now she's not quite sure of it.

Our Family...Bella at 6 months.
