San Diego

Gabby wanted to see all the shows at the zoo and sea world. After the first day at the zoo I tried to explain that Jeremiah wouldn't last sitting through shows all day. The next day at Sea World she started asking "are we available to go to Shamu show?" It was so funny hearing her ask about our availability. The kids had so much fun going to the zoo and Sea World. We must have lucked out because we got to see a lot of baby animals - giraffes, hippos, orcas, pandas, and leopards.

We started the trip with me driving the kids over early in the morning. Papa and Nana flew over to join us. Daddy came over in the middle of the week. We did the zoo and Sea World twice, once with Papa and Nana and once with Daddy.

The beach was pretty cold, so we stuck to animals. We did see the jellyfish on the shore...and Jeremiah had a blast digging on the sand.

On Saturday we went to the zoo for the final time. Of course on the way to return the stroller, Jeremiah tripped and landed right on his mouth. He busted his lip and part of his lip got stuck in his teeth. There was blood all over him and me. We went to first aid and got him checked out, but once we got back to the hotel and started looking at it, we decided to head home early. We got to Papa around 10 and he got his lip out of his teeth.

All in all we had a great trip...it was fun seeing animals, playing in the pool and on the beach and just spending time as a family.

We had fun at the below viewing area, so we could see the baby orca swim by. He was only about a month old...born on Valentine's Day
Papa let us eat with the whales after the show. They were so close...it was incredible being so close to them to really see how big they were.
The sea lions were noisy and fun to watch. I love how J just sat on his knees watching them. Bella loved feeding them fish.
